Pipe Supports Inspection Services
Our Engineers and Technicians have extensive knowledge of Pipe supports, insulated supports, and expansion joint (fabric and metal expansion joint) and have worked as Field/Inspection Technicians for more than 10 years. Our inspection services include:
- Inspection of Spring Hangers, Snubbers, Expansion joints, Insulated supports, rod hangers, etc.
- The inspections are mostly NDE which includes both a structural integrity analysis of the pipe supports, along with an assessment of their functionality.
- Inspections follow API 570 Standards
- The inspection reports include details about the condition of each pipe support, our priority-based recommendation, and a free of charge consultation on a recommended plan of action.
Pipe Support Installation Supervision
Our Field Engineers can provide the experienced supervision for your in house crew to ensure proper
installation of the pipe supports.
In our experience, contractors sometimes under value the severity of improperly installed pipe supports
resulting in potentially catastrophic events and unplanned outages.
Our Calcgen Field Services can provide the following support:
- Oversee and supervise site contractors for proper pipe support installations
- Post installation inspection with a certificate of proper installation.
- Our engineers can provide an on-site training event to educate contractors how to properly install supports before implementation.
- Remote inspections are available for time sensitive concerns, during which, photos received from the site will be used to perform the inspection from our Calcgen home office. (Recently added service)
Laser Scan to create 3D Modeling
Our team can perform laser scans to create 3D models of entire plants, sections of a unit, or just a skid. The 3D models can also be used for their dimensions and manipulated in CAD software for in-kind pipe replacement, pipe supports, and other equipment.
We are equipped with the necessary equipment to perform laser scans.
API 570 Inspection
Our API 570 Inspection service provide following services:
- Perform inspection, rating, repair, and alteration procedures for metallic piping systems that have been placed in service.
- Specify in-service inspection and condition-monitoring program that is needed to determine the integrity of piping.
- Provide accurate and timely assessments to determine if any changes in the condition of piping could compromise continued safe operation.
- Alert the owner-users to any inspection results that require corrective actions to assure the continued safe operation of piping
API 510 Inspection
Our API 510 inspectors perform inspection tasks and schedule monitoring programs to assure the mechanical integrity of equipment, including the following:
- Familiarize themselves with prior history of the vessels and are responsible for, reviewing prior inspection reports, prior repairs, and current inspection plan.
- Perform internal external, on-stream inspections in accordance with the inspection plan and code.
- Verify that all new materials used during repairs or alterations are consistent with the specifications.
- Determine the corrosion rates, remaining life, and next inspection date for each pressure vessel.
- Assess preferential weld corrosion of in-service welds and joints.
- Ensure all NDE results are evaluated and determined to be accepted or rejected, with recommendations to resolve all deficiencies.
- Determine the pressure test requirements for pressure vessels after alterations or major repairs.
API 653 Storage Tank Inspection
Our API 653 inspectors perform inspections on Storage tanks according to code and includes the following:
- In and out of service API 653 storage tank inspections
- Foundation settlement survey
- Edge settlement survey
- External / Internal Floating roof & stationary roof inspections
- Frangible Joint Inspection
- Corrosion Evaluations
- Magnetic Flux Leakage inspection (MFL)
- Roof Hatch Analysis
- Straping
- Containment Volume Survey (to comply to NFPA, DOT and SPCC regulations)
Non-Destructive Testing
